This ultimate potato soup recipe warms the body & soul

Recently, I had some surgery and have been blessed with the gift of friends providing care. 

Why is it that we bring food to friends who are in need? Well, for me, that is an easy thing. We provide for others what we would like provided for us.  

I am able to provide a good meal and often believe that it is the best medicine. So, what is comfort food? 

According to the Internet, comfort food is food that provides a nostalgic or sentimental value to someone and may be characterized by its high caloric nature associated with childhood or home cooking.  

I often asked my students if they would go to a certain food in emotional times. Some would tell me macaroni and cheese. Others said ice cream.
