Lenten Season Recipe with Chef Bud

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) —Chef Bud is back with a dish that can be made during Lenten season or any time of the year.

Ingredients:

1 lb Halibut/Seabass/or firm fish

2 Tblspn butter, melted

2 Tblspn honey

½ ea orange juiced

2 tspn Kikkoman soy sauce

½ tspn McCormick Coarse black pepper or Pepper Supreme

1 Tblspn Tulhoff garlic, chopped

Preparation:

In a small mixing bowl combine the butter, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, pepper and garlic

Portion your fish by cutting it with a sharp knife in 3 to 6 oz pieces. Depending on what size portion you are serving to your guests. Brush both sides with the liquid mixture.

Heat your skillet until it is sizzling hot. Sear your fish for 90 seconds on each side. Reduce the heat to medium and cook each side for 2-3 minutes, until the fish can be easily flaked with a fork

This sauce is a perfect accent to any firm fish. It will bring a wonderful contrast of flavor to your seafood and be the perfect addition to your entertaining Table! Enjoy!
